The state and region’s largest metalworking business-to-business event kicks off in less than two months – and space is filling up fast.
The 2026 Tri-State Metal Tech Supply Chain Expo will take place Tues., May 19, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Marshall University Rec Center (corner of Fifth Ave. and 20th St., Huntington) with setup beginning at 8 a.m. the day of the event or from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. the day before. Lunch will be provided.
Metalworking small businesses – machine and welding shops, fabricators, heat treating and powder-coating operations – as well as suppliers to these businesses are invited to participate in the free expo by reserving a table to showcase the goods and services they provide, said MAMC Director Derek Scarbro. Representatives of major companies from across the region will attend the expo in search of new goods and services suppliers.
Registration is required at www.mfg.marshall.edu/26metaltech.
A limited number of sponsorship opportunities, including special speaking spots, are available. Details can be found in the registration link.
Metalworking businesses from across West Virginia as well as Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia already have registered for the B2B expo.
“We’ve moved this year’s expo to a larger venue to accommodate an ever increasing number of companies interested in growing their metalworking businesses, identifying new customers or finding suppliers closer to home,” said MAMC Business Outreach Specialist Tanner Drown, organizer of the event. “I encourage individuals to register today to ensure they don’t miss this opportunity.”
MAMC and Advantage Valley have organized more than a dozen supply chain expos in recent years, resulting in more than a million dollars in new contracts, shorter supply chains, cost savings, business expansions and diversification across the Mountain State and beyond.
