We’ll explore the magic of 3D printing, the mechanics of manufacturing, the art of entrepreneurship, the precision of laser cutting, and the wonders of robotics. This camp isn’t just about learning, it’s about having fun, exploring your potential, and discovering how you can shape the world with STEM. So, buckle up for a week of wonder, innovation, and most importantly, fun. Let’s embark on this exciting STEMventure together!

Objectives:

  • Introduction to basic, and advanced 3d modeling techniques.
  • Learn to design for 3d printing, and lasercutting
  • Develop problem-solving skills with Design Thinking methods!
  • Practice engineering techniques by designing, building, and programming a robot!
  • Apply your new skills to creating a product, brand, and business…
  • Learn about manufacturing & STEM education and career paths.

Outcomes:

  • Create an entirely custom 3d printed project!
  • Learn to modify existing 3d designs.
  • Create a custom 2d design for laser-cutting!
  • Laser-cut an entirely custom project!
  • Build and program a robot to accomplish a specific task.
  • Meet special guests and new friends!

  • 9:00 AM – Arrival
  • 9:15 – Pre-Camp Survey
  • 9:45 – MAMC Site Tour
  • 10:45 – Break
  • 11:00 – Evening Overview & 3D Printing Pens
  • 11:30 – Lunch
  • 12:00 – D4D Mini Sprint & Prototyping Exercise
  • 2:00 – Departure

TUESDAY June 2

  • 9:00AM – Arrival
  • 9:10 – Intro to 3D Design w/ TinkerCAD
  • 10:00 – Break
  • 10:10 – Intro to Metrology/Design for Real World Objects
  • 11:00 – 3D Printing & Slicing
  • 11:30 – Lunch
  • 3-D Printing & Slicing
  • 12:30 – Vex Code! / Vex Arm
  • 1:00 – VEX Arm & Vex Code Practice / Vex Code w/Skyler!
  • 2:00 Departure

WEDNESDAY June 3

  • 9:00AM – Arrival
  • 9:15 – Pack up for MU Aviation Tour
  • 11:30 – Lunch @ MU Aviation
  • 1:00 – Return to MAMC
  • 1:15 -Robot Development and/or DRONES!
  • 2:00 – Departure 

THURSDAY June 4

  • 9:00AM – Arrival
  • 9:10 – 3D Printing, Slicing
  • 10:00 Drones!
  • 11:30- Lunch
  • 12:00 – Robot Development/ 3D printing
