Equipment Operator
Must have three years’ experience in operating heavy equipment;
· Must be able to follow OSHA safety standards and be safety conscious;
· Must be 18 years or older and legally authorized to work in the United States;
· Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as assigned;
· Must be committed to contributing to a culture of safety, looking out for yourself and others;
· Must be able to take oral and written orders, instructions, and guidance from supervisors and managers; and
· Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen and acceptable driving history as determined at the sole discretion of the company.
Descripton:
Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant industry standards, policies, and site procedures to minimize risk of injury, property damage or loss of life;
· Ability to excavate and maintain required grade;
· Complete projects in a timely manner to keep crew productive;
· Performs daily safety and maintenance checks;
· Assists in loading and unloading of equipment;
· Cleans equipment as scheduled and/or required;
· Ensures equipment is safely and securely stored at close of shift;
· Maintains operator forms and records in accordance with company policy and procedures;
· When not operating equipment, works with and assists crew in completing assigned task, including, but not limited to, general labor, concrete work, asphalt work, etc.;
· Maintain a clean and safe work environment;
· Wears required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times;
· Practices workplace safety on a continual basis; and
· Performs other duties as required or assigned.
