1. Getting Started
Open Bambu Studio and make sure you’re logged into the MAMCMakerVault account.
- The Dashboard: The software is divided into three main tabs: Prepare (setup), Preview (inspection), and Device (monitoring).
- Connecting: Go to the Device tab and ensure your assigned printer (e.g., “A-1 MIni MakerVault”) is connected via Wi-Fi.

2. Setup: Printer & Filament
In the Prepare tab, look at the left-hand sidebar to set your hardware “rules”.
- Printer: Select your specific machine (e.g., Bambu Lab X1 Carbon 0.4 nozzle).
- Plate Type: Most of our printers use the Textured PEI Plate.
- Filament: Click the drop-down and select Generic PLA or Bambu PLA Basic.
3. Prepare: Importing & Adjusting
- Import: Drag your .STL, .3MF or .STEP file directly onto the virtual build plate.
- Positioning: Use the Move (M), Rotate (R), and Scale (S) tools in the top toolbar to adjust your model.
- Orientation: Always use the Lay on Face tool to ensure the Benchy’s hull is flat against the bed for proper adhesion.

4. Slice & Preview
Once the model is centered, click the green Slice Plate button in the top right.
- Inspection: Use the vertical Layer Slider to scroll through the print from bottom to top.
- What to look for: Ensure the first layer is solid and that there are no “floating islands” (parts printing in mid-air).
- Stats: Check the top-right legend for the estimated print time and filament usage.

5. Sending the Print
Click Print Plate. A pop-up window will appear:
- Verify the correct printer is selected.
- Ensure Bed Leveling is checked.
- Hit Send.
The printer will now take over. You can monitor the progress and the live camera feed from the Device tab.
